Ice Cream In The Park

Today, I was still recovering from my two days of having a garage sale. I didn't have much motivation to get stuff done besides cutting the lawn. A friend of mine had mentioned to me that Melting Moments (an ice cream shop in East Lansing) was having free ice cream in the park today to celebrate the store's 25th anniversary. Since we didn't have much else going on and I didn't feel like doing much, we said we'd meet them over there. So we met up with the Beckwith family for ice cream at the park. Em is friends with their daughter Madeleine. The two girls are about the same age. Their were eight different flavors you could choose from, however only one per person at a time so you had to stand in line each time you wanted more. The line was a little long, but moved fast. Unfortunately they didn't have their super delicious chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches as samples. They are the BEST! If you haven't ever had one and are at Melting Moments or an event that has them, you have to get one! Here's five of the flavors from our second trip in line...

Vanilla, Lemon Ice, Cappucino, Chocolate #2, & Chocolate #3 (The three chocolate flavors were new to vote on and didn't have names yet so they just numbered them.) One of them was chocolate ice cream with pretzels, white chocolate chips, & peanut butter cups. Yummmmm-o!

Evan thought the ice cream was yummmmmm-o as well. I think the picture below says it all...

Emmaline was definitely into the ice cream too. Here she's eating vanilla!
Here's Em and her friend Madeleine. They were both too busy with the ice cream to look at the camera!
Thankfuly the rain held off so we were able to enjoy some yummy ice cream. The kids had fun too and were excited to get to play at the park afterwards. I'll share some pictures of that tomorrow.
