Friday was Greg's birthday and for the special occasion we went out to dinner. If Evan were to pick we would've ended up at Noodles & Co. or Burger King, but since Greg did the picking it was dinner at Ukai Hibachi Grill. Three words can describe Ukai- Yum! Yum! Yum! Since Ukai is a little pricey we don't venture there often. Maybe like once or twice a year for a special occasion. So dinner Friday night was a special treat! It consisted of shrimp (which Evan tried for the first time and liked), chicken, steak, fried rice, veggies, bean sprouts, and fire at the dinner table! I know you're mouth is watering as you read this! If you aren't familiar with or have never been to a hibachi grill restaurant I highly recommend it! Not only do you get a wonderful meal, but you get free entertainment to go along with it! The chef cooks right at your table and entertains you with tricks as he cooks. One of Evan's favorite tricks was when the chef tossed the egg shell from the grill into his hat! Here is how it all gets started.
The fire is lit on the grill and the cooking begins!
Then there's tons of food tossed around and prepared right in front of you on the grill!
Then when all the cooking is done, you end up with a plate full of food like this! Delicious!
After all the entertainment and good food, you go home stuffed! I was definitely glad I hadn't eaten all day and could enjoy all that yummy food! So as you contemplate where to go for that next special occasion keep Ukai or a hibachi grill near you in mind! Definitely a good choice! Now that you're probably hungry after reading this, I won't show anymore pictures of food. Instead. I leave you with a picture of the birthday honoree and his two favorite kids.
Here's a small clip of some of the entertainment at our table! Enjoy!
